Practically Perfect

I had a random idea for what a Mary Poppins costume would look like if adapted to Lolita, and so I knocked this out. Much thanks to Google Images for costume references. I edited it after visiting Royal T, and I'm glad with how it came out.

Maybe I'm trying to subliminate my urge to watch the Mary Poppins musical, as it's now in town.

I experimented with the Pen tool on this baby, and I like the effect very much. Except it was hard at first, because I'm not used to drawing on a very large scale. But I'm quite happy with this drawing. I used as little black as I could in the coloring - and the costume itself is so charming it's hard to get wrong if you have a model. Even the shading turned out all right.
