Tea Shop Harmony

I have been working on this piece since September, no joke. Well, I didn't scan it and color it for a while, but this piece is still a point of great pride for me.

See, it all started on Television Without Pity, when the Avatar forum was discussing the possibility that Toph knows how to play guzheng, a Chinese instrument. Having been raised in a noble family, they may have given her a skill so she could at least earn some money or respect, and her sense for vibrations would surely make her a natural at it. And that was the first part of this picture.

Suki is playing a set of Korean drums - I don't know the name of them, but a girl from my high school played them very, very well - and we know from canon that Zuko plays tsungi horn. Add three singers and two Legend of Zelda references - the Sokkarina and Aang with the Wind Waker, conducting - and you have this picture!

It took me so long to color it all and get it satisfactory on photoshop. I really like how Toph turned out (had to rework the entire guzheng, but it was worth it), and the sliding door. That's supposed to be Avatar Yangchen on the far right.
