Yes, I've jumped on the wagon and become a My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fangirl. And I've loved seeing different artists' interpretations of the Mane Six as humans. Naturally, I decided to add my own!
This is tough, not only because I want to avoid interpretations that have been done before, and give some variety to my ponies, but because their original designs are so emblematic and expressive that making them human almost seems redundant. But I tried! And I tried to make this a pose exercise for me, as well -- I used Walter Crane's Flora's Feast (
[link]) as a pose reference. Maybe not the best choice, but it was certainly a challenge and I like the result for the most part (except for the two on each end).
Pinkie Pie almost didn't make it in here, and I still think she seems pretty forced. Fluttershy's pose probably ended up being my favorite of all.
I've seen some really cute humanized versions of Fluttershy in a hijab, and while diversity is great, I don't think it fits her. I decided that if I wanted to make any pony Muslim and hijab-wearing, Twilight Sparkle (whom I already like to imagine as a POC) is my choice. Why, that's an issue for another post, but I think it really fits.
Rarity was a treat, although her nose needs some work. I imagined her being a real classic, 1960's beauty a la Jacqueline Kennedy.
I like the physical contrast between Applejack and Rainbow Dash, though it's not shown to best effect here. I wanted Applejack to come off as very strong and buff. In contrast, I like the idea of Rainbow Dash as a tiny, rapidfire athlete. And if her pose is awkward, it's because I don't hang out with enough athletes to know how they move. -_-*
Thanks for looking! All characters (c) to Lauren Faust (

It's fun to see all the different human interpretations of ponies.
